Recently I was happened to be down on the Mornington Peninsula and decided to drop into the Tyabb Packing House. I had been there before and remembered being mesmerised by the vast array of vintage goodies to be found. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon poking around the many and varied stalls under the one roof, winding up with a magazine and coffee at the charming cafe (quite obviously I was without my children this particular day!!) However, since discovering the Mill Markets, I must admit I was a bit shocked at the pricing of the items that took my fancy.....they did seem somewhat over the top by comparison.....perhaps the clientele on the Mornington Pen. are alot more affluent than those in Geelong, Warnambool, Daylesford and Ballarat where you will find the Mill Markets. But we all know that if we find that elusive item we have been searching high and low for, we will gladly pay what is nessisary to have it......here are some photographs from my visit.....perhaps you will see that elusive item here !!!

What a treasure trove. I am so used to Sydney prices now that I think I'd faint at a cheaper price. Thank heavens for EBay and Etsy! Having Daisy was good for my budget as she keeps me out of stores. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you sweets.
that place looks amazing. I must visit!
ReplyDeleteAww wow I wish we had more places like these in the UK. I know America is a wash it seems with so many shops like this. I would have to be dragged out kicking and screaming from them and my purse taken off me! Pictures like these make me want to open my own shop!
ReplyDeletelovely but i prefer the new place down the road in Tyabb "the vintage shed", it is more affordable and more spaced...
ReplyDeleteCan't say I agree with the above comment. As a regular visitor to Tyabb Packing House I love the spacing and the prices. Can always find something that I have to have. A great array of stuff and something for everyone. My favorite day out (wish I could win tatts though!!!!!!). The dealers at TPH are really nice and knowledgeable too. And the Cafe! Fantastic coffee and Great Customer Service!
