Once upon a time....

Once upon a time in a land far far away, there was a beautiful castle in which lived a handsome prince and a beautiful princess. The castle was built by allot of handwork, dreams and love by the prince and princess and they spent many years making it as perfect as they imagined it could be. There were many good times had in the castle, many laughs, many guests, many evenings spent curled up on the couch watching a good flick or listening to music, many many many sunny days spent in the garden turning the old empty paddock into something worth enjoying.

Unfortunately, this fairy tale doesn't end all that happily. The prince and princess had a number of unfortunate 'diverting of their plans' that would have enabled them to keep their castle and have lots of little princes and princesses too, but in the end they found they had to sell their castle to be the parents they aspired to be. Much water has passed under the bridge since the prince and princess sold their castle, and the prince and princess are no longer together.......but then, life is really not the fairy tale we start out hoping it will be - is it?

  2. Thanks sugar - we left this house about 6 years ago and I still miss it. Since then I have had three beautiful babies, renovated a 1960's grey brick house, studied garden design and a Masters degree in Rural and Regional Planning. It has been a huge 6 years to say the least and I guess it all took it's toll on me. My hubby and I seperated about 10 months ago. All is fine and aimiable, even quite friendly. Thanks ever so for your concern. "Dreams dont ofton come true, do they Miss Cuthbert" as Anne of Green Gables says."But just now, I feel nearly perfectly happy." Life may not go the way we plan, but there can still be little happinesses around the bends in the road. I am content in a way I didnt seem able to be when married, so who knows, perhaps I am just not the relationship type ! HUgs to you today honey !! XOXO

  10. oh Kesenya, your home was just beautiful! You really have such a talent. I LOVE the wall colours, the white ceilings, the furnishings! I can't even design a photo frame wall or hang pictures. It's inspired me to try to beautify our house so it feels like a home. I unfortunately see it with such critical eyes and have NO IDEA on how to improve it. It also sounds like you're getting onto your own two feet, as hard as it would be with little ones. Feeling inspired and hopeful...Lorri xx
